Sure, the health reports and measurements are what the Ravens front office is most interested in at the Scouting Combine. But let’s get to what us viewers pay attention to – what these guys look like in action.

Here’s a look at some of the results of note at the tight end position Saturday at the Scouting Combine.

  2. Dennis Pitta, Brigham Young – 27

Vertical Jump

  2. Clay Harbor, Missouri State – 40.0
  3. Jimmy Graham, Miami – 38.0
  4. Jermaine Gresham, Oklahoma – 35.0
  5. Anthony McCoy, Southern California – 35.0

Good Impression: Dennis Pitta, Brigham Young, 6-4, 245
The NFL Network analysts couldn’t stop raving about Pitta. He posted a 4.63 unofficial 40-time and second-most bench press reps. He has good size and showcased his soft hands by making the gauntlet look easy in drills. "He’s got as good a set of hands as any WR or TE in this draft." Mike Mayock said. "He’s my guy."

Worth a Second Look: Dorin Dickerson, Pittsburgh, 6-4, 226
Dickerson’s 4.4 40-time definitely raised some eyebrows. He is also 17 pounds lighter than any other tight end in the group, but still had the fourth-most bench press reps. Dickerson played wide receiver as a freshman and linebacker as a sophomore and was a first-team All-American in his second year as a tight end.

Subpar Impression: Jermaine Gresham, Oklahoma, 6-5, 261

Gresham, who came out to prove he’s over his ACL injury that sidelined him for 2009, didn’t have a performance one would expect from what many people consider the top tight end on the board. He had just 20 bench press reps and ran one of the slowest 40-times of his group at 4.73. He dropped a couple passes in drills as well.

Incomplete Workout: Aaron Hernandez, Florida, 6-2, 250; Rob Gronkowski, Arizona, 6-6, 264
